- Scheduled Afternoon On Call 2 days/week On Call 2p-7p
- Rotating Weekend On Call 1x-2x/month; Saturday and Sunday 6:30a-2:30p
- Additional hours may be available
- Weekday and weekend on call stipend; plus hourly wage and mileage if called out
- Serves Stark and Summit Counties
Responsibilities:
- Performs blood collection procedures and related tasks.
- Verifies order requests and identifying information prior to drawing blood.
- Labels all specimens collected and delivers them to the appropriate processing area.
- Follows venipuncture procedures and maintains appropriate log sheets.
- Greets patients warmly and professionally when entering a patient's room.
Complexity of Work:
- Effectively operate in a flexible work environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Technical proficiency; standard procedures, techniques and common practices required.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
